Still planning to do a write up, just no time as I’m working my ass off these summer months. And the time I do have I spend on things like BBQs and driving the car instead of writing about it. Suffice it to say, it puts a smile on my face every single time. I drove the Mazdaspeed 6 a few days back again after a few weeks only in the Hyundai, and while the Mazda is not slow, everything just feels sooooo much better in the Hyundai.

Drove behind one in stop and go traffic yesterday, loved the burble. It announces its presence without any fart can Civic boy-racer drama. Just the right amount of noise at the right frequencies.

I love a good hot hatch.

My ‘05 Mazda 3s wasn’t very hot, but it sure was good fun.

Yes, the noise is one of the reasons I love the car. It's not overly deep to try and be more than a four cylinder, and it doesn't sound like some Civic fart can either. The pops and bangs, while induced artificially, do actually come from the engine and sound great.
